Progressing the local mindset

Part of our core mission is to progress regional attitudes to renewable energy. By investing in innovative local public-private initiatives – such as our first project, Greater Changhua 1 Wind Farm – we are focussing on local ownership, backed with global 'green' finance. As we grow our portfolio of such projects we help to forge a regional network of like-minded partners.

Greater Changhua 1 Wind Farm

Located between 35 and 50 kilometres off the coast of Changhua County, the Greater Changhua 1 wind farm project comprises 75 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW wind turbines. The project  is Taiwan’s first far offshore and large-scale offshore wind farm.

The project reached full COD in April 2024 and has been generating clean, renewable, and affordable energy for approximately 500,000 homes, while reducing carbon emissions by around 1,500,000 tons per year (as reported by Ørsted)
